When Albert Figg wanted to
put a Churchill Tank on Hill 112 as a permanent static memorial to the brave
troops of 9th Royal Tank Regiment, Carl Brown of C&C Military Services came
to the rescue.
Carl found and rescued a suitable Churchill
from a disused army firing range.
Doing the whole project at cost, the boys at C&C sandblasted the tank, freeded
off all the wheels running gear and refurbished the Churchill VII.
Despite the damage done during it's years
on the range, the tank was in remarkably good condition - in fact Carl commented
that the tank could have been restored to running condition.
